Sh. Isa Military College
This project was geared to develop the newly established military training campus. It involved planning for new buildings and circulation for vehicles and pedestrians, and also locating and designing a number of training facilities. Within this structure, LSC clustered the buildings creating disparate campuses that were activity specific. Each campus landscape was then treated individually to meet specific requirements of that campus. They were also considered part of the whole college campus and had to interact with the adjacent landscapes to create a single cohesive landscape. By clustering the campuses, the landscape could vary from a lush tropical feel at important areas within each campus, to the native desert landscape around the perimeter. Thus, the college campus could conserve water, reduce the amount of disturbed land and increase its sustainability.
